A shiny new phone is tempting. But so are five nights on the Palm, breakfast you haven’t had to make and an afternoon with absolutely nowhere to be except the pool. Before you commit to that upgrade, shall we look at what else the budget could buy? These 18 UAE stays make a rather persuasive case for packing a bag this October half-term. Several multi-night offers come in below a phone-upgrade budget of AED 5,499, with everything from Palm Jumeirah resorts to beachfront glamping in the mix. Your current camera might do just fine for those holiday photos after all.
